By lobbying Federal and State authorities, I have been instrumental in creating or retaining 10,000+ jobs during my tenure in office, and to help secure over $200 million in economic and infrastructure projects.



List of Accomplishments

Served as the point person to attract Duke Energy, (now Dynegy Inc.), to Fayette County. As a result Duke Energy's $450 million investment was the largest in Fayette County history.

A leader in the effort to bring TeleTech (TTEC) to Fayette County, creating 600 high-tech jobs, a move that has greatly helped as a source of economic growth.

New and growing companies created or retained more than 10,000 jobs during Vicites' 23-year tenure in office. He was also instrumental in bringing a new State prison to Luzerne Township, that meant 400 more jobs to Fayette County residents.

Vicites helped to ensure that when NiSource took over for Columbia Gas, instead of outsourcing 200 existing jobs, NiSource retained their presence in Fayette County and created 300 more jobs!

Worked tirelessly with elected and Turnpike officials to advance Mon-Fayette Expressway construction, which has built $1 billion dollars worth of highway in Fayette County alone. Vicites was also instrumental in having a full-diamond interchange developed at Fan Hollow Road - Northgate Highway.

Vicites is working diligently with Federal and State officials to help bring about the Joseph A. Hardy Connellsville Airport runway extension. The runway will help provide important travel links to commuters from across the county.

Vicites met with Former Governors Tom Ridge and Ed Rendell, and Current Governor Tom Wolf to secure $7 million in State funding for future business park development. Such funding insures continued business growth for the county.

Fayette County has developed a 3-phase master site development plan for the 270-acre Fayette County Business Park, located along Route 40. The business park has already attracted 47 tenants, 1,000 jobs, and $115 million in private investments. A final phase of the business park will be developed on the Mount Macrina property.

To enhance the county's public transportation system, Vicites helped to bring in $8 million dollars in Federal and State grants to purchase new vehicles, a new administration building, and a FACT Transfer Facility. The funding has helped the Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation system become one of the best rural transit programs in Pennsylvania. Ridership averages over 20,000 trips per month, and in the future FACT buses will run on natural gas.

Vicites has secured $200 million for economic development and infrastructure projects.

Vicites initiated the Youth Commission and Crime Stoppers of Fayette County chapter to support law enforcement's fight against crime.

Vicites was instrumental in developing a new county Comprehensive Land-Use Plan. This plan, to be completed at the beginning of 2019, will update the county zoning ordinance for future development of the 32 municipalities that rely on the county for zoning and planning.

Vince is a strong supporter of the Sheepskin Trail Project, helping connect the Yough River Trail in Connellsville to the trail in West Virginia.

Vicites initiated hiring grant writers who secured millions in Federal and State grants for Fayette County.

Lead the effort to bring a legendary steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, to Fayette County.

As former Fayette County Recycling Coordinator, Vicites started the Hard to Recycle Events at Fayette County Fairgrounds that has continued for 34 years.
